How to sell a House... anyone?

Well, this weekend we had 3 people come and look at our house.  This might seem like a small number to most, but it was a grand improvement from the ZERO we had last weekend.  Selling a house is some stressful stuff fo reals.  You know why?  I'll tell you why....
1. You always have to make it look like it's the most immaculate place ever in which no one lives.   Except we do live in it and there is always crap everywhere.  I have a baby and a husband both of which do not pick up after themselves.  Ok that was out of line, I just called my baby out on the internet.  I apologize.
2. Every Saturday we begin the long drawn out process of deep clean (in which my husband helps tremendously:).  I am still shocked at how much there is to do at the end of every week and I am equally as shocked at how clean our house can be after said deep clean.
3. Trying to decipher whether or not the people walking through our house are actually serious buyers or just curious passerby's.  Today after one of the "passerby's" finished the tour she said, "I LOVE your house!  It is decorated so nicely! You did a great job staging it."  Ooo.. she got me with that last comment.  Was she trying to say, I watch HGTV too and I know your tricks? *sigh*  I even baked fresh chocolate chip cookies (which she ate).  I am trying everything people.  Well, keep us in your prayers as we continue this house selling journey.  We hope it will be a smooth and short experience. :0)

eat'n gators

Last Saturday Eric, Luke, and I went to Johnny and Kim's tailgate to cheer on Bama against the Florida Gators.  Bama ended up demolishing Florida in what surprisingly proved to be a not-so-exciting game.

 Bama fans and Florida fans were decked out in full-gear to support their favorite team.  We saw Gator fans dragging stuffed Elephants behind their cars and Bama fans yelling "Roll Tide" as loud as they could as Florida fans strolled by.  But I was shocked, I mean SHOCKED when I saw....... 

A GIANT real-life-Alligator being grilled for some down-home-country-eat'n on the Quad.  I apologize profusely that there is not a picture to support such a grotesque image but if you know Bama fans, I doubt you are the least bit surprised.  The tailgate we happened to visit, much to my shock and horror, was also serving Gator.  Not in full-body form thank goodness, but never the less alligator legs- just hangin' out on the table- ready to eat.

Yes, I tried an alligator leg this past Saturday and I'm proud to say it.  I got caught up in the hype what can I say?  Actually, I only took a bite because I couldn't get over the fact that it was an Alligator.   Eric on the other hand, enjoyed an entire leg.  He said it tasted just like chicken.... but chewier. (ewe.)

Alabama bugs do NOT mess around

Yes.  THIS was found in OUR back yard.  OK, please feel free to do the he-bee ji-bee dance now.  Eric came running in the house to get his camera and snapped this photo of the beast.

Alabama does not mess around when it comes to growing some big-O nasty spiders!   Have you ever seen something so huge and disgusting???  I mean have you?  There is fuzzy yellow HAIR on it's head!  It has a big beetley back!  There are pricky things coming off of it's scary legs!  SICK!  Does anyone know what kind of spider this is?  And... will it kill me?  I think the answer is yes.
